The Mile-a-Minute Vine (Polygonum perfoliatum) is an invasive weed that was first introduced into the United States in 1890. It escaped from cultivation in the 1930's from a site in York County,Pennsylvania and has since spread to Maryland,Delaware,West Virginia,New York,Virginia,Ohio,and Washington D.C.
