Red fox (Vulpes vulpes). Red foxes are found in North America,Eurasia and North Africa, and are the only native wild canids remaining in Britain. They are usually crepuscular (active during the twilight),but in urban areas with artificial light they tend to be nocturnal. They feed on a wide range of things, from rodents and birds to insects, eggs and fruit, and in urban areas they often scavenge from dustbins. They can run at up to 45 miles per hour.
