Ringnecked parakeets mating (Psittacula krameri). The male (top) is distinguished by a black ring around his neck,whereas the female (bottom) has no neck markings. This bird feeds on buds,fruits,vegetables,nut,berries and seeds. It is a popular pet and due to escapees is now found throughout Europe,Africa,Japan and the USA.
