Cape vultures (Gyps coprotheres). These large vultures live in mountainous country in southern Africa. They nest in colonies on mountainsides and feed mainly on carrion. The bare head and neck allow them to probe inside carcasses of large mammals without becoming coated in blood. It has a strong hooked beak to tear through the skin and rip off chunks of meat.
