Saddle-billed stork (Ephippiorhyncus senegalensis) perched on a tree,yawning. This bird is one of the tallest storks,reaching up to 145 centimetres in height. It is a wading bird that feeds mostly on fish,spearing them with its bill or sweeping the water to find them by touch. It also feeds on frogs and small mammals. It can eat up to 500 grams of food a day. It nests in the tops of trees or bushes near water and is found in most of sub-Saharan Africa.
