Australasian gannets (Morus serrator). Mother gannet feeding young. This large seabird nests in large colonies on coastal islands. Pairs remain together over several seasons. The young reach breeding maturity at six or seven years of age. An adult bird feeds by plunge diving into the ocean to catch fish and squid.
