Tree frog (order Anura) resting on a leaf in a cloud forest. Most tree frogs live in trees or shrubs. They possess an adhesive disk on the end of each toe, which they use to grasp twigs and branches as they move about. The skin absorbs oxygen and water from the environment, and its moistness facilitates this process. In many tree frogs the colour of the skin varies with temperature. Photographed in Mindo,Ecuador | |
