Bigeye trevally. The trevally or jackfish (Caranx sexfasciatus) congregates in large schools during the day, seeking safety in numbers from predators. The resulting mass of fish makes it difficult for a predator to focus on a single target. At night the school fragments to feed on smaller fish and crustaceans. It can reach lengths of 120 centimetres and weigh up to 18 kilograms. It inhabits tropical and subtropical coastal waters and is regarded as an excellent human food source.
