Spotted eagle ray (Aetobatus narinari) searching for food on the seabed. The eagle ray feeds mainly on bivalves but also eats shrimps and small fish. It can grow up to 9 metres in length including its tail,which possesses poisonous stinging spines. It is found in shallow waters and coral reefs,often swimming near the surface and occasionally leaping out of the water. Photographed in the Red Sea | |
