MODEL RELEASED. Child crash test dummy. Designer holding the high-impact polyurethane skeletal frame of a Q6 crash test dummy. Q6 was modelled on the average six-year-old child. It was designed to examine safety in both side and front vehicle impacts, and was derived from X-rays and measurements of children. Q6 contains sensors to measure the motions and forces it experiences during an impact. Photographed at part of First Technology Safety Systems in Delft in the Netherlands, which calibrates new dummies, and refurbishes and recalibrates old dummies for the European market | |
