Child crash test dummies. They represent a three- year-old child (Q3) and a six-year-old child (Q6),and are part of the Q-series of child dummies. Designed to examine safety in both side and front vehicle impacts, they were derived from X-rays and measurements of children. Each dummy contains sensors to measure the motions and forces it experiences during an impact. Photographed at part of First Technology Safety Systems in Delft in the Netherlands, which calibrates new dummies, and refurbishes and recalibrates old dummies for the European market | |
