Hemispherium scientists. Computer scientists cont- rolling the display on the virtual reality (VR) Hemispherium. This is the world's finest immersive VR facility in 1999. The screen is a 6 metre wide dome,mounted vertically,giving an authentic 180 degree field of view in both horizontal and verti- cal planes. These scientists are controlling the projectors which provide the real-time computer graphics shown on the screen. Here,it shows a corridor in Guisborough Priory,North Yorkshire,England,as it would have looked in the 12th-14th centuries.
