The plant,in the town of Richland Village in Washington,was one of three production centres which supplied components for the atomic bomb (the other two were located at Oak Ridge in Tennessee). The concrete structure,in the foreground at far right,is one of the eight plutonium producing reactor facilites at the Hanford works.
