Starry sky. The pattern of the constellation of Orion is easily recognisable at centre with the Orion nebula (M42) visible as a pink spot at centre left. At the extreme left just above the trees the constellation of Canis major is found. It is dominated by the presence of Sirius which is the brightest star in the sky. The tiny v-shaped pattern seen at top right represents the head of the constellation of Taurus. The image was taken from Vancouver,Canada | |
