Voyager 2 image of Titania, one of Uranus's larger moons having a diameter of 1600km,taken on Jan 24,1986. Many circular depressions, probably impact craters, are visible. Other bright spots, distinguished by radiating rays, are probably halo craters that mark relatively more recent impacts. The linear troughs (photo right) are probably fault canyons. They break the crust in two directions, indicating tectonic activity and possibly a dynamic, active interior to this icy satellite | |
