Lunar soil. Light micrograph of orange and black grains of lunar soil brought back from the Moon by the Apollo 17 mission. The grains in this sample range from 20 to 45 micrometres in size. Apollo 17 landed in the Taurus-Littrow area of the Moon. It was the last manned mission to the Moon.
