The crater Tsiolkovsky on the far side of the moon,photographed from the Apollo 13 mission on 14 April 1970. Crater Tsiolkovsky was formed during intense bombardment of the lunar surface around 4 billion years ago. The floor of the crater is covered by a dark basaltic lava. Crater Tsiolkovsky is in the south-east region of the far side,approximately at 126.5 deg.E and 20.5 deg.S.
