MODEL RELEASED. Nose and eye surgery. Image 2 of 5. Exposed septum of a 54-year-old woman, prior to its removal (septorhinoplasty). The septum is a thin membrane that divides the nasal cavities. It can be surgically removed if it is deformed and obstructing breathing. The 54-year-old patient is also having a bump removed from the bridge of her nose and her left eye reshaped (augmented) by injection of fat from her stomach into the eye orbit. This fat will replace fat cells destroyed by radiotherapy for peri-orbital cancer. See M590/299-303,for a sequence showing nose and eye surgery | |
