The white areas are alveoli (air sacs),some of which have coalesced to form cavities in the lung. Miliary tuberculosis is an acute form of tuberculosis in which the infective bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) enter the blood and spread to other parts of the lungs or to other organs,such as the liver,kidney and spleen.
