Queen Victoria. Historical artwork of Alexandrina Victoria (1819-1901),queen of the then United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland,in a carriage. She became queen when she was only 18 years old and,in 1840,married her first cousin Albert. He organised the Great Exhibition of 1851,in which artistic and scientific artefacts from around the world were displayed in London,England. The Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum were later founded in London to house these items. Queen Victoria's 63 year reign is the longest in English history.
