Execution of Lavoisier (red coat,centre) on 8 May 1794 in Paris,France. The French nobleman and chemist Antoine Lavoisier (1743-1794) is considered the father of modern chemistry. He studied oxygen and hydrogen and stated the law of the conservation of mass.
