Cohen-Salmon has created almost 200 different types of mouse by genetic manipulation. Mice live for just two years and the aim of this research is to establish the effects of genetic changes on mouse lifespan and aging. This work is related to Project Chronos,a human aging study which is mapping the genes of old people to understand which genes are respon- sible for human aging.
