Rocky outcrops are white,thin soil is red,thick sand is black and vegetation is green. The crater is 2.5 kilometres (km) across and was originally 130 metres (m) deep,but since its formation 5 million years ago the crater's floor has been covered by 100m-thick sand deposits.
