The community has roughly 150 Inuit inhabitants. Winter temperatures can reach as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius,and the sun never rises for four months of the year. The people of Grise Fiord have access to local modern amenities such as a shop and a school,but also practice traditional hunting activities
