The Krakken,a jack up barge,that is constructing the wind turbines of the Walney offshore wind farm,uses a specialist cradle to lift a turbine blade into place. The farm consists of 102,3.6 MW turbines,giving a total capacity of the Walney project of 367.2 MW,enough to power 320,000 homes. The rotor diameter of the turbines is 107m for Walney 1 and 120 m for Walney 2. The wind farm is owned and constructed by Dong Energy,Cumbria,UK
