Part of the gear and cam mechanism inside an electric rotation-oscillation toothbrush which converts the continuous rotary motion of the motor into a reciprocating to-and-fro motion. With oscillating-rotating technology, the brushhead oscillates at over 7000 brush strokes per minute,at a rotation angle of +/- 38 degrees, describing an arc of 76 degrees. The frequency of brush strokes has been optimized to 8800 oscillations per minute. Research indicates that as a conventional manual toothbrush only generates about 300 strokes per minute,it follows that rotating-oscillating toothbrushes are more efficient in removing plaque | |
