E-Cat cold fusion research. Experimental demonstration being carried out with the E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) cold fusion (Low-Energy Nuclear Reaction,LENR) system. This apparatus contains the units connected in series and in parallel to produce a claimed one megawatt of energy. E-Cat is a system designed by Italian inventor Andrea Rossi,assisted by Italian physicist Sergio Focardi. It is claimed that the E-Cat system generates energy from a nickel-hydrogen reactor that converts the nickel into copper. Sceptics have rejected these claims and patent applications have failed. This demonstration took place on 6 October 2011,in Bologna,Italy
