MODEL RELEASED. Sperm whale skeleton preparation. Museum conservator,Abdi Hedayat,inspects a sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) skeleton that has been soaking in a tank of water for over a month as part of the process to remove tissue from the bone. This whale was found stranded on Henne Strand,Jutland,Denmark. It measured 14 meters in length and weighed an estimated 30 tonnes. The skeleton will be cleaned and re-assembled for display at the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen | |
