US Army malaria drug production. Cinchona seedling hothouse being used by the US Army as part of the process of producing the anti-malaria drug quinine. Brigadier General James S. Simmons and Colonel Arthur Fischer are visiting the hothouse. The seedlings are to be shipped to South America for production of quinine. Malaria is a disease presenting as severe cyclic fevers.
