IC10 starburst galaxy. X-ray space telescope image of the irregular dwarf galaxy IC10. This starburst galaxy lies around 2.3 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Cassiopeia and measure approximately 5000 light-years across. It still shows star-forming regions that give off a reddish glow. IC10 has a large population of newly formed stars that are massive and intrinsically very bright.
