Young galaxy lensed by cluster Abell 383. The central bright object is a young galaxy that formed 13.5 billion years ago,200 million years after the Big Bang. The thin arcs are additional lensing by the gravitational field of the cluster. Galaxy clusters are gravitationally bound groupings of galaxies. They can contain hundreds of galaxies and be millions of light years across. Abell 383 is 2.5 billion light years away,in the constellation of Eridanus.
