Frequent ash emissions are signs of increasing activity at this volcano. At left,vegetation appears red,with a grey plume streaming south from the summit caldera. At right,The right image is a combination of thermal infrared bands,highlighting the ash-rich composition of the eruptive plume. Each image covers an area of 33 by 60 kilometres.
