Disinterred 15th-century body. 19th-century artwork of a disinterred body swathed in burial cloths,thought to date from the 15th century. This body was discovered in 1852 by workmen excavating in the crypt under St Stephen's Chapel,Westminster,London,UK. A report by the Society of Antiquaries concluded that the body was likely to be that of William Lyndwood (c.1375-1446),Bishop of St David's. The investigating committee included antiquarians James Prior,Thomas Pettigrew,William Thoms,John Bruce and John Yonge Akermann.
