Honey bee pesticide research. Radio frequency identification (RFID) chip being attached to the back of a honey bee (Apis mellifera). This chip is used to track the bee in order to study its behaviour. In this study honey bees are subjected to various pesticide doses. They are then released into an experimental beehive and their behaviour is compared to that of healthy bees.
