Venus de Milo sculpture,19th-century artwork. This Ancient Greek statue is one of the most famous works of antiquity. It was sculpted at some point in the period 130 BC to 100 BC. It is thought that it depicts Aphrodite,the Greek goddess of love and beauty (the goddess the Romans called Venus). It has been attributed to Alexandros of Antioch.
