Cupping set comprising of four cups and two brass and steel scarificators. These are contained within a morocco leather case which bares the word 'Cookie',in gold letters on the inner lining. This set would have been used in a procedure called 'wet cupping',a form of bloodletting used in the nineteenth century to 'treat' a range of ailments by removing surplus bodily 'humours' (fluids within the body).
