Leucistic chinstrap penguin. Chinstrap penguins (Pygoscelis antarctica) inhabit the Antarctic Peninsula and nearby islands, where they feed mainly on krill and small fish. Leucism is a condition characterised by reduced pigmentation in animals and humans. Unlike albinism,it is caused by a reduction in all types of skin pigment, not just melanin.
