Ravaccione marble quarry,historical artwork. This quarry is in the Ravaccione quarrying valley near Carrara,Tuscany,Italy. It is one of the three areas that are the sources of the famous white Carrara marble used for architecture and building construction. The Ravaccione quarries are located at an elevation of around 444 metres in the Apuan Alps. They have been carved deep into the mountains,creating large underground caverns.
