Roberts' stellar pantograver. This device was invented by British amateur astronomer and engineer Isaac Roberts (1829-1904). He invented this device to allow the positions of stars to be engraved on copper plates. Roberts described the device in an article published in 1888 in Volume 49 of Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS).
