NuSTAR space telescope construction. Engineers with NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) after mating it to its carrier rocket. NuSTAR is NASA's 11th small-explorer mission (SMEX-11) and is a space-based X-ray telescope that will use a Wolter telescope to focus high energy X-rays from astrophysical sources,especially for nuclear (gamma-ray) spectroscopy.
