Allegory of logic. 16th-century artwork ('Typus Logice') showing a huntress who represents mathematical logic. This artwork varied between editions. Here,the huntress blows a horn which sprouts two roses. The labelled elements (in Latin) include hunting dogs labelled truth (veritas) and untruth (falsitas) pursuing a hare (problema). At upper right is a forest of opinions (silva opinionis). At lower left is the philosopher Parmenides. This woodcut is from 'Margarita philosophica' (1503).
