Cro-Magnon 1 fossil thigh bones. These are fragments,with only the femoral shaft present and the ends of the bones missing. Cro-Magnons were an early European culture of modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens). The Cro-Magnon 1 collection of specimens,which includes the skull of an elderly male,dates from around 28,000 years ago.
