This hospital was located at Fort Monroe,Virginia,USA. The Zouave were a unit of the Union Army,modelled on the French Zouave infantry. Photographed by New York photographer George Stacy during the US Civil War (1861-1865). Over 600,000 soldiers died during the conflict.
