Fossil brachiopod and Roman lamp. These are replica casts of the originals. The fossil is of the brachiopod Terebratula maxima,described by Charlesworth in 1837. Brachiopods are a group of extinct marine shelled animals. This specimen dates from the Pliocene (around 2.5 to 5.3 million years ago).
