Mathematical logic. Woodcut titled 'Typus Logice' that appeared in 'Aepitoma omnis phylosophiae' (1504) by the German author Georg Reisch (c.1467-1525). This work is better known as 'Margarita philosophica' and was first published in 1503. This artwork,which varied between different editions,depicts a central huntress figure as an allegory of logic. The labelled elements (in Latin) include hunting dogs labelled truth (veritas) and untruth (falsitas) pursuing a hare (problema). At upper right is a forest of opinions (silva opinionis).
