Andrew Jackson Moyer (1881-1959),US microbiologist and pencillin pioneer. Moyer is seen working in his Peoria laboratory,Illinois,USA,where he discovered the process for the mass production of the antibiotic drug penicillin from a Penicillium fungus. This work was carried out in the period from 1941 to 1944,building on the work done by Florey and Heatley.
