Hide bridge. Artwork of indigenous people and a pack animal crossing a bridge near Santiago,Chile. The bridge is made from animal hides,bundles of sticks,and other local materials. This bridge was crossed by the British naturalist Charles Darwin during the second survey voyage of HMS Beagle. He travelled from the coast to Santiago and back in August and September 1834.
