Dictaphones are devices used to record speech for later playback. The term dictaphone became a trademark in 1907,and wax cylinder recordings continued into the 1930s. Wallace,from the Democratic Party,served as Secretary of Agriculture from 1933 to 1940,under President Franklin D. Roosevelt,and then as his Vice President from 1941 to 1945.
