Blue Gene supercomputer. This is the Blue Gene/L,one of the fastest supercomputers in the world, several times holding the world record for speed of calculations. It is part of the Stockpile Stewardship Program, and is located in the Terascale Simulation Facility at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory,California,USA. The first in the Blue Gene series produced with IBM,this machine is used by scientists from Livermore,Los Alamos, and Sandia National Laboratories to run simulations for scientific theories, and to evaluate advanced computer architectures.
