Barrow's Geometrical Lectures. Title page of 'Geometrical Lectures' (1735),a translation from the Latin by English mathematician Edmund Stone (1700-1768) of the lectures given at Cambridge University by the English mathematician Isaac Barrow (1630-1677). Barrow first published these lectures in 'Lectiones Opticae et Geometricae' (1669). The text refers to Barrow as (Lucasian) Professor of Mathematics (1664-1669) and Master of Trinity College. The text also states that corrections were made by Isaac Newton (1643-1727),who succeeded Barrow as Lucasian Professor. Stone is referred to as a Fellow of the Royal Society.
